A collaboration between two developers, the Municipality of Qeqertalik and the Government of Greenland, is now solving the great housing shortage in Aasiaat, especially 2V and 3V rental housing. 60 homes are now being planned across three buildings, the first high-rise buildings in central Aasiaat.

The homes are distributed between the developers in this way:

Municipality of Qeqertalik:
30 2V apartments
10 pcs. 3V apartments = 40 apartments

Self-government apartments:
10 pcs. 2V apartments
10 pcs. 3V apartments = 20 apartments

The homes are being built in the Qarsoq 234Y housing system.

Green building '2222' gross area 1,585 m²
2V has a gross area of 66 m2 including common areas.

White building '2233' gross area 1,742 m²
2V has a gross area of 65 m² including common areas.
3V has a gross area of 80 m² including common areas.

Red building '2233' gross area 1,742 m²
2V has a gross area of 65 m² including common areas.
3V has a gross area of 80 m² including common areas.

The base of each building contains depots and technical rooms as well as large porches with space for strollers, etc. The elevator is located with a view of the fjord or city.

The boat bridge provides easy access for loading and unloading dinghies and utility boats, as well as handling kayaks.
